3-port Optical Circulator

The 3C-LINK 1310/1550nm 3 port Single mode Optical Circulator is a compact, high performance light-wave component that routes incoming signals from Port 1 to Port 2, and incoming Port 2 signals to Port 3.So fiber optic circulators act as signal routers, transmitting light from an input fiber to an output fiber, but directing light that returns along that output fiber to a third port. They perform a similar function as an isolator, protecting the input fiber from return power, but also allowing the rejected light to be employe.

3-port Optical Circulator

the circulator from port 1 input, it is output from port 2, and the signal from port 2 input, will be output from port 3, its output loss is very small, light from port 2 input, from port 1 output when the loss is very large, the same light from port 3 input, from port 3 output loss is also very large.

The 3-port optical circulator is a multi-port non-mutual-easy optical device, and light can only travel in one direction. If the signal is from port 1 input, it is output from port 2, and the signal from port 2 input, will be output from port 3, its output loss is very small, light from port 2 input, from port 1 output when the loss is very large, the same light from port 3 input, from port 3 output loss is also very large. The fiber optic circulators are widely used in fiber lasers, optical division multiplexing, two-way pumping system, dispersion compensation device, fiber sensing, scientific research and other fields.

Low Insertion Loss
Low insertion loss enables the product to have low signal 
attenuation, thus reducing the power requirement for the 
signal transmitter.
Higher Isolation
The higher isolation value enables sufficient signal isolation during
multi-signal transmission in the device, effectively preventing 
cross talk between signals and causing distortion of the transmission
signal
