3C-LINK Open Line System ( OLS)

The Open Line System is designed for building open optical point-to-point or advanced, ROADM-based ring and mesh networks for 1-400 Gbps.

With an open architecture, the functionality of once monolithic optical transport systems can be disaggregated. This is based on using transceivers embedded in routers or switches, open line systems and transponders as needed. As a result, the price-performance ratio is much better. In alignment with this, 3C-LINK  has developed the 3C-OTNS8600I-OLS  for active open line systems of all types -  from simple point-to-point links to advanced, ROADM-based ring and mesh networks. To fit all the varying needs of an open line system, 3C-OTNS8600I-OLS comes in two flavors – the 3C-OTNS8600I-OLS and 3C-OTNS8600I-OLSN  families – each optimized for a particular type of optical network.
