3C-LINK released and demonstrated the industry's first 400G DWDM optical transmission system, which can support a single fiber C-band 48CH * 400G capacity and transmit over 1000 kilometers without power relay. It is currently the largest wavelength division system in the industry in terms of transmission capacity. The 400G DWDM optical transmission system released this time is another major breakthrough achieved by 3C-LINK in the field of high-speed transmission, following the first 100G prototype in the industry.
The rapid growth of broadband services has put forward higher requirements for transmission network capacity, and ultra 100G wavelength division transmission technology has emerged. Based on considerations of technology availability and maturity, Huawei believes that 400G will become the next generation of transmission rates suitable for DWDM systems after 100G, laying the foundation for operators to deploy ubiquitous ultra wideband networks and services.
The 400G optical transmission system released by 3C-LINK this time adopts ultra strong SD-FEC, unique coherence algorithm, and high-performance optical module technology, which can support high-capacity long-distance transmission. This prototype also demonstrated the business access capabilities of 400GE and 4 × 100GE, as well as the latest OTN technology supporting OTU-5 level. This 400G transmission technology will be applicable to the 3C-LINK WDM/OTN platform, supporting smooth evolution from 40G/100G to 400G.
